A few new images from Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon have hit the net.  As most of you know, I’ve seen a lot of footage from the 3rd installment and everything is telling me that Bay has made something special and it’s going to be a huge improvement over Revenge of the Fallen.  Also, unlike a lot of filmmakers that don’t know how to use 3D, Bay is using 3D to help tell the story.  I think TF3 will be the best looking live action 3D movie since Avatar.  Hit the jump for new images of Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Patrick Dempsey, Josh Duhamel and Michael Bay.

Synopsis:

Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in Transformers:  Dark of the Moon.   When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.  The film also stars John Turturro, Tyrese Gibson, Kevin Dunn, with John Malkovich and Frances McDormand.

  1. Why do the soldiers still carry their peeshooter rifles. It’s already been established only special explosive rounds do any damage, yet he’s still carrying a useless rifle.

    • are you honestly questioning Michael Bay?? the man defies gravity… and the rules of physics in every film he makes… hes a genius.

  2. @ Alex

    True.

Still; there are the occassional “smaller” Decepticons (Frenzy and the impersonator, for instance). Firearms took out Frenzy, so maybe it’s still worthwhile to have the rifle just in case?

  3. We all know he has the rifle just to look cool. It probably is unloaded anyways, afterall, the humans just run around and scream while other robots kick the crap out of the bad guys.

  4. Im sorry…but after what I have seen over the last few days, I will now agree with Jeff…Transformers: DOTM will make more money than Harry Potter…it’s already been said on screen rant the 3D visuals may have surpassed Avatar! I never thought that would be done! I think they finally got it right with the 3rd movie….internationally it will be Harry Potter I think..domestically look for this movie to be the next $500 million movie domestically…1 billion? Maybe.
