A new Transformers: Dark of the Moon promo image of autobot Sentinel Prime has gone online. For those unfamiliar with the character, he’s voiced by Leonard Nimoy and was glimpsed in the teaser trailer. Not much is known about the character other than he’ll be doing some fighting (a Transformer? Fighting? Will wonders never cease?) and he takes the disguise of a fire engine.
Hit the jump to check out the image. The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, John Malkovich, Tyrese Gibson, Frances McDormand, Ken Jeong, Alan Tudyk, and John Turturro. Transformers: Dark of the Moon opens in 3D on July 1st.

I can’t begin to say how unfunny and irrelevant Matt’s commentaries on the articles are…why can’t you just report, too difficult?
if you’re looking for unbiased and unfunny entertainment reporting, might I suggest the political commentary section of The Washington Post? As it stands Matt, *CRACK* your sarcasm is out of the park. You gotta have a sense of humor when reporting the obvious day in and day out
I agree, can you please just report the news-
we come to places like this instead of aint it cool news, joblo, latino review…. because we just want the news-
if we want to be forced feed someones lame opinions, we would go to those sites-
slash film is turning into one of those sites which has brought me to collider-
please don’t drive me away.
If you want an opinion free news source you should find another website. The fact that you want your movie news reported in a dry, self serious style is just lame (you need to get out of the house!). I actually enjoy Matts humour, and those shitty Transformers movies certainly deserve it.
Also, it was just one small comment, it wasn’t the whole article or even an appreciable amount of it, so i must conclude that you are in reality offended that someone took a crack at you beloved Transformers music videos.
@YouraWhinyBitch, You infact are the whiny bitch…Matt’s humor sucks and it reaches beyond Transformers articles, wipe the semen out of your eyes and get it straight…though I don’t think you will
Love it.
Can’t wait for the movie!
Matt, please stop interjecting your opinion and commentary into the articles. They’re not funny or interesting
wolstenholme, right back at you. burn!
A comments section is where opinions belong idiot…not the articles
You’re right. We need more souless personality free reporting of cutting edge, uber important movie news, you looking for a job wankbot?
What’s with all the Matt basing? You can agree or disagree with him but to say he shouldn’t say anything is wrong. If I’m not mistaken, isn’t Matt one of the people who run this site? He can write whatever the hell he wants to.
*Matt BasHing?
Did anyone not see the last 2 Transformers movies? what is Matt saying that isn’t 100% off the mark? It’s all in fun. Calm down, nuke a hot pocket and go back to playing world of warcraft in your parents basement…that’s what I’m gonna do.
that’s just sad
Posting a complaint twice in the span of about 15 minutes is pretty sad too…
Actually my laptop lost it’s wifi connection as I was posting so when I logged back on I felt it was necessary to make my point…it was a double post dickwad
Matt + Bashing = Mashing?
Charles Overlay: no offense but, well… you’ve come to the wrong place. Visiting a blog/bloggish site and not wanting an opinion is like visiting a dance club and not wanting to get glitter on you. Its just the nature of the beast. There are plenty of movie news sites that give you the straight dope without any interjections or opinions, maybe just go to those sites instead of asking this one to change its ways?
actually…
other then the site layout-
this site is not connected to a blog at all- they don’t mention the word blog anywhere- check out the about us section… not once do they call this a blog-
don’t be fooled… this is a company out to make money not just some people slopping around their opinions.
they would do best if they listened to their patrons.
I understand that they don’t call it a blog, but as you said the site layout is certainly very similar in function to a blog, thus “bloggish.”
I think the “about us” section only supports what I was saying… they state a few times in there that opinions and commentary are a part of what they do. Its fine that you don’t like it, in most every other case I don’t either (Collider generally gets a pass with me because its way more passive than others), but instead of asking them to change to something you would prefer more, why not just go to the sites that better suit your tastes?
$10 bucks says he dies to save Optimus Primes life.
what else u want him to do other than fighting????? u want him to do jerkoffs ??? anal gangbangs ???
I want to make a comment about taking it up the tailpipe, but i just can’t.
sphincter
One thing that keeps bothering me about Bays Transformers, in robot form the paint seems worn and beat up but in vehichle form they look like they just got waxed.
The only opinion I read was said “robots? fighting? will wonders never cease?” and this is what sparks a debate? I read it and thought it was harmless enough that a 10 year old could of made the comment.
Shit, a new image came out, he posted it along with as much information on the subject to satisfy most readers. He even went as far as to put his opinion in parenthesis as to separate it. I have never posted anything on this site, but in the case of this article I have to point out that is immature ‘boo-hoo’ shit comments like this that which give ‘fanboys’ and anyone else with a negative opinion about another person that makes people not want to come back to sites like this. I started on ign, went to imdb, was really happy with rotten tomatoes, but have been on collider for over a year now.
State your opinion on the movie or the casting, but keep the hate to a minimum. You are crying to us because you have no one in your life to hang out with and speak your mind about “why matt’s opinions suck”. Start an local group at your library or a movie critic club at your middle school that meets under the bleachers so that the cool kids won’t see you…
