One of the many, many car images from Michael Bay’s upcoming sequel Transformers 4 that has been released thus far is Bumblebee’s new digs for the pic: a modified, vintage 1967 Camaro. However, it appears that the Bumblebee autobot will also be getting an upgrade in the film, as Bay has now unveiled what he describes as “the final jewel in the Transformers 4 crown,” Bumblebee as a 2014 Concept Camaro. Given that we know next to nothing about the film’s plot, it’s difficult to surmise how Bumblebee’s new look comes about and whether he’s suffering from separation anxiety now that Sam Witwicky is out of the picture, but Paramount has released an image of the bot nonetheless.
Hit the jump to check out the new Bumblebee. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, T.J. Miller, Sophia Myles, Li Bingbing, Jack Reynor, and Kelsey Grammer. Transformers 4 opens June 27, 2014.
