Paramount Pictures has released a new poster for director Michael Bay’s sure-to-be-explosive sequel Transformers: Age of Extinction, and it pits Mark Wahlberg in great peril.  Wahlberg plays a burgeoning inventor and family man who runs into trouble when he accidentally discovers a beat-up Transformer.  Age of Extinction takes place a considerable time after the events of Dark of the Moon, and the U.S. Government now feels that there is no use for Transformers here on Earth.  As can be gleaned in this new poster, Wahlberg and his daughter (played by Nicola Peltz) find themselves in a dire situation when a ginormous ship appears above their home.  Don’t you just hate it when a giant robot spaceship hovers over your nice farmhouse and ruins the rest of your day?

Hit the jump to check out the new poster, and if you missed Steve’s video interviews with the cast from CinemaCon, be sure to watch his Wahlberg interview and Peltz/Jack Reynor interviewTransformers: Age of Extinction opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on June 27th.
