As if a story based on giant sentient machine lifeforms who can morph into a variety of Earth-based vehicles and transform in order to engage in unending combat wasn’t insane enough, it seems that the writers of Transformers: The Last Knight have decided to include two more genre favorites: Nazis and dinosaurs.

Now, granted, Transformers: Age of Extinction did manage to sneak the fan-favorite Dinobots into the script, though not exactly in a way that made them members of the team, put them on equal footing with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, or satisfied fans in any way, shape, or form. The screenwriters might be remedying that now, however, with the inclusion of mini-Dinobots.

In a video Q&A on his Facebook page, star Mark Wahlberg himself confirmed the existence of mini-Dinobots (via Screenrant):

“[Transformers: The Last Knight] is a cool new story, it’s kind of like a man on the run. Sir Anthony Hopkins is also in the film. We got a cool new cast, cool new robots, cool new villains and some cool new Dinobots. I think you guys are really going to go crazy for the Mini-Dinobots.”

At least mini-Dinobots make sense in the lore of the Hasbro toyline and IDW comics. Nazis on the other hand…

As The Sun reports, some veterans’ groups and former military commanders are up in arms due to a Nazi takeover of Winston Churchill’s former home thanks to Michael Bay’s production. For reasons that I’m sure won’t ever make sense on the big screen, Blenheim Palace has been reimagined as Adolf Hitler’s headquarters for Transformers: The Last Knight, complete with massive swastika flags, German military equipment and SS troopers occupying the grounds. You know, subtle stuff.

So, for those of you keeping track at home, Transformers: The Last Knight now has Autobots and Decepticons, (mini)Dinobots, Nazis, and King Arthur. By this point you’re either drunk or have a BINGO.
