New Footage from TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION Starring Mark Wahlberg

     May 13, 2014

If you really like the band Imagine Dragons, you’ll be thrilled to hear that they’re doing the main song for Transformers: Age of Extinction.  Paramount has released two promos announcing the band’s contribution to the soundtrack, and while I don’t care for their music, the promos do contain new footage.  And it’s important footage because it reveals that there’s a Transformer with a beard and a cigar. Sure, there’s Optimus Prime riding around on a robot dinosaur, but I’m far more amused at the fact that we’re getting a robot with a beard again (there was one in Revenge of the Fallen and god I hate myself for remembering that movie in any way) and he has a cigar.  That’s the kind of lunacy I demand from a Transformers movie.

Hit the jump to check out the new Transformers: Age of Extinction footage, and come back later this week for the new trailer.  The film opens in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D on June 27th, and stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Kelsey Grammer, Stanley Tucci, T.J. Miller, Titus Welliver, Han Geng, Sophia Myles, and Li Bingbing.
