Paramount aired an awesome spot for Michael Bay’s Transformers: Dark of the Moon during the Super Bowl. If you’ve been waiting to see some actual footage from the movie, you need to hit the jump. I don’t want to spoil what Optimus Prime does in the footage, but let’s just say it involves a sword and him cutting up some decepticons.
When I visited the editing room for TF3 and spoke to Bay, he showed us the shot as an animatic and it was awesome. Seeing it fully realized is even better. While some of you might not be down with Transformers, I can’t wait for July 1, 2011:

Your coverage of these movies is great Frosty. This looks awesome. I hope Bay finishes the trilogy of strong and makes up for mistakes in the sequel. Cant wait.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand boom goes the dynamite…
this looks fuckin insane.
0:24 Laserbeak!! 0:27 Silverbolt linked with Prime??
I never saw so much CGI in less than thirty seconds in my life!
It’s probably gonna be shitty and brainless as far as plot and story goes but me and my friends are gonna see it anyway. FUCK YOU MICHAEL BAY!! LMAO
okay now this i like!
RAPE! YES MAN!
Actually, this looks great. But what are we not being shown is what worries me! Techno Jar Jar? Old pirate transformers? Giggling toasters?
Hopefully Bay would have learned his lesson from T2. If so, I will see this.
Best movie trailer of the Super Bowl XLV.
The deer-in-headlight blonde model with that grotesque botoxed lips and fake hair looks incredibly out of place in the movie. I think everyone wants the whole thing to wrap up and be done with it.
She looks out-of-place for sure, I wish she wasn’t even in the movie, but I don’t think but maybe a few folks want this thing to wrap up and be done with it. Matter of fact, with the cast that Bay brought on and with him having personally realized that ROTF was kind of a mess, I think we’re actually going to get a decent plot (as much a decent one as you can get with giant transforming robot aliens) inside this top-notch summer popcorn flick. Mark it down, it has been written.
Why make stuff up?
This looks more shallow than his previous film the only reason anyone will see it is because Bay makes some of the most amazing CGI action scenes this side of Snyder.
How can you tell whether or not it looks more shallow based on approximately 22 seconds of actual movie footage and no dialogue? Just keep posting comments that don’t make sense, it’s a good call. And I don’t think you can compare Snyder and Bay just because their use of CGI is so completely different, oh yeah, and because Bay doesn’t do any scene work in front of a green screen (I love Snyder’s work more than Bay’s but Bay doesn’t use green screens like Snyder)
Is Optimus flying again JESUS here we go again!! STUPID!!
