The French trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon has been released, and it gives us a couple more shots of new footage. I was thoroughly impressed by the theatrical trailer that was a released a few weeks ago, but then I’m reminded that Revenge of the Fallen had a similarly epic-looking trailer. Robots blowing things up does not an engaging movie make.
Hit the jump to watch the French trailer. The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, John Malkovich, Patrick Dempsey, Ken Jeong, John Turturro, Frances McDormand, Peter Cullen, and Tyrese Gibson. Transformers: Dark of the Moon opens in 3D on July 1st.
Here’s the French trailer (via Allocine):
Here’s the official synopsis for Transformers: Dark of the Moon:
Shia LaBeouf returns as Sam Witwicky in Transformers: Dark of the Moon. When a mysterious event from Earth’s past erupts into the present day it threatens to bring a war to Earth so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save us.

This is going to be the most epic movie ever, cant wait.
Correction: it MIGHT be the most epic movie of THIS year.
Let’s not forget The Avengers, The Hobbit (Pt. 1 & 2), and of course the be-all end-all comicbook movie The Dark Knight Rises.
Basically we’re in for some truly epic movies!
TDKR is already overhyped to the point it will almost certainly be a letdown when it finally arrives, and it hasn’t even started promting itself yet. Fan boys are setting themselves up for a very bitter pill to swollow. Of course they won’t admit it until 6 to 12 months after the film is released, when suddenly the film they praised will be turned on like savages feeeding on the last twinkie on earth.
And BTW, Transformers 3 looks pretty awesome.
Transformers the Dark of the Moon is going to be awesome. And to think that I thought that it couldn’t get any better. Haha.
It looks like it will be a really intense film and much darker in tone while less camp than the first two films. It’s played a lot more straight but still really epic.
John Malkovich and Patrick Dempsey seem to have intriguing roles in this that are being kept under wraps.
Honestly, Michael Bay doesn’t get the concept of a story. Sure he can make a beautiful film, what ever. Someone needs to slap him and tell him FUCK YOUR IDEAS!
Just hand him a good script, and make sure he dosen’t fuck it up with explosions and Megan Fox.
That might actually work.

Ohhhh, sure. In order to satisfy and “engage” you, they should probably put in that movie a little bit of Capote, little bit of Shakespeare dialogue, and the robots should sit in a room for 60 minutes sharing their personal problems and dealing with their inner demons.
Seriously Adam, you’re a smart guy, but sometimes you write stuff that are just hilarious. Don’t go there, we have Ebert for that.
Just prepare yourself for a kick-ass action movie and you’ll be fine. Because them complaints about story and plot are getting really old, really fast. It’s the third movie, for God’s sake!
If you don’t know what to expect from a third movie of a franchise, then that’s your own problem. Don’t blame the movies.
Me, I’m in the best position, because I loved the first two Transformers movies and I’m 100% sure that I’m going to like the third one. Why I’m so sure, you ask?
Because I know EXACTLY what to expect. And I know that the movie will deliver. Big time!
Well, what an intelligent way to approach a movie. If only more people were like you and didn’t expect a movie about giant robots fighting to be a introspective charactor study.
Michael Bay put the CGI and then make events revolve around.
It could be good, and it could stink also.
The first Transformers is one of the sh.ittiest films ever made. I doubt this will be any better.
