Last week, director Michael Bay announced that the first trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon would be attached to either The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader or TRON: Legacy.  Now, a description of the teaser trailer has gone online.  Like the upcoming films Apollo 18 and Dark Moon, the teaser reportedly plays on conspiracy theories of what we really found on the moon.  It also sounds like there will be a cool 3D effect where we actually get to go inside a Transformer.

Hit the jump for the full description.  Transformers: Dark of the Moon stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and John Malkovich.  It’s set to open in 3D on July 1, 2011.

Here’s the full description from BadTaste.it, who saw the trailer at a convention during Giornate Professionali di Cinema di Sorrento:

Transformers: Dark of the Moon, from the teaser, plays it on conspiracy theories related to the moon landing. The first part of the movie alternates images of the control room at NASA and of the astronauts on the moon. The landing is what we know well, as are the famous words about the “giant leap for mankind.” But we did not know what is the journey of the astronauts on the dark side of the moon, until the control room do not tell them that “…then we are not alone.” Then we see some Transformers: the camera comes close to the eye of one of them, which starts to flash. But the camera does not stop, and takes us inside the robot and its mechanisms, making us understand that it’s coming back into action.

It sounds a lot like the teaser for the original Transformers that played on what the Mars rover had “found”:

Walk away slowly and this will all be over soon, no one has to suffer a visual lobotomy.

And now for the aggravating part…..Let the pompous kids begin their Michael Bay Whining & Crying Tirade.

It’s called having standards. Sorry that you’re into shit.

I have standards. But I’m not an idiot about like a lot of pretentious morons are, like you. Just because he’s a commercial filmmaker, he doesn’t do little indie ostentatious crap, or doesn’t fit the ‘classical’ image, doesn’t mean he’s a bad filmmaker. Granted he isn’t perfect, but I enjoy his work, as well as *many* other people. But if you don’t care for his artwork then go to another article or another website rather than complaining here.

“But I’m not an idiot about like a lot of pretentious morons are, like you.” Ooooh, thems fightin words :PGetting a little defensive there… I never said he had to be any of those things. I understand completely that the man can and has delivered popcorn action flicks; nothing more, nothing less. But, the fact that he doesn’t do indies or fit the ‘classical’ image doesn’t mean that he knows how to direct anything other than helicopters and car chases.

Offended? Yeah. Honestly yeah. Because it’s vanity that drives art too much. And yes, it is about image. That’s exactly what it’s about. It’s about people who don’t know how to humble themselves, and who are too vain to even admit that a large part of art is entertainment.

There are a lot of people who do this just to feel special about themselves. Art is good for self-expression, but a lot of people just bring it into feeding an ego. Which also takes a sense of style (indie music, scarfs, classical music, reading, indie movies, Amelie, The Boondock Saints, smoking, obscure sexuality, agnosticism, atheism, etc..) and feed a arrogant snotty image.

Now, do you have standards, or are you just narrow minded and vain?

You lost me at this “Which also takes a sense of style (indie music, scarfs, classical music, reading, indie movies, Amelie, The Boondock Saints, smoking, obscure sexuality, agnosticism, atheism, etc..)”
I’m just going to ignore you now. lol

You know what? You’re stupid. A snotty idiot. There really is no use arguing with people like you.

Am I the only one that had a difficult time reading that?

  • InfiniteMonkey

    Two words, Cerebral Edema.

That’s exactly what’s going to happen to all these kids drinking this same shite Cool Aid that Michael Bay has been handing out for free on a hot summer day like a bloody Lemonade Stand. LOL! We can’t stop it, we can only hope to get out of the way when the blind hordes spend their money for this LOL!

Michael Bay + Big Summer Action Flick – Internet Commenters W/ An Undeserving Sense of Self-Worth + Decent Plot (Hopefully This Time) = Fun. Bay makes fun movies (except TF: 2), if you don’t like them then your taste is obviously relative to the palate of a NY food critic and you shouldn’t waste your time seeing it or even clicking on a TF banner on Collider. You’re better than that. Come on, you know you are. You’re much better than Michael “Boom Boom Crash” Bay. So why are you reading articles about him and then commenting on the articles?

  • Ganymede2010

That can’t be it. The Teaser traielr is suppose to be 2+ minutes long. That’s according to multiple sources.
