Entertainment Tonight is apparently dedicating a chunk of air time to Michael Bay’s latest opus Transformers: Dark of the Moon and they’ve released a short teaser video that shows off some behind-the-scenes footage.  Unsurprisingly, there’s a lot of exploding things, a lot of people (including Josh Duhamel and Shia LaBeouf) standing around staring at things exploding, some people (or possibly robots) parachuting into the middle of Chicago, and Patrick Dempsey is there too.  There’s little sign of the giant CG robots, but there is a brief glimpse of a what appears to be a NASCAR-style stock car tearing ass down the middle of a debris-ridden Chicago street.  It’s probably a safe bet that the car is probably going to turn into a robot at some point.

Here's the synopsis for Transformers: Dark of the Moon:

The Autobots, led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009’s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime “Transformers” character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.
