Cool TRON LEGACY Exclusive Figures Set for 2010 San Diego Comic-Con

With a little over a month until this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, exclusives have begun to roll out.  Today, Toy News International reveals that Spin Masters has two Tron Legacy exclusives set for this year’s Con.  First up, there’s a limited edition die-cast replica of Sam Flynn’s light cycle.  There will be only 3000 pieces available and each one will retail for $5.  Then there’s the really cool item: “A static figure of Tron from the original Tron movie and it will come in a very cool-looking package made to look like the Tron arcade game. The figure has a light-up feature on the base that can be activated in or out of the arcade-style packaging.”  Pretty sweet huh?  Only problem is that there will only be 1500 pieces and each will retail for $40.  That’s a little on the pricey side for me, but I know die-hard Tron fans aren’t going to think twice about nabbing one.

Hit the jump to check out images of the figures along with a personal request from me.

Thanks to Toy News International.

There are going to be plenty of exclusive items at this year’s Comic-Con.  I don’t mind that.  In fact, I think it’s pretty cool.  But what I do mind are collectors who forget to be human beings because they simply must have that limited edition figure so they can lock in a closet for ten years in the hopes that it may have amassed value.  All I ask is that you try to be considerate of others who genuinely want to own something that relates to a property they love.  There’s no need for rudeness, treachery, or other abrasive behavior.  Just act like a reasonable human being and everyone will have a good time, yourself included.

Do you know if these SDCC die casts are basically the same as the non-limited editions that will come out in the store in October?

I'd like a light cycle die cast but if it's coming out in the stores no need to fork over $30 on ebay
