Disney has released two new featurettes for TRON: Legacy.  One featurette centers on the film's villain, "Clu", who is played by a digitally de-aged Jeff Bridges.  As Olivia Wilde exclaims, "I couldn't believe it!  We get double Bridges?"  Every film should be so lucky.  The other featurette is more of a broad overview of the characters and the vehicles.  Neither featurette really spoils anything (or at least nothing that hasn't already been glimpsed in the trailers), but if you need your TRON: Legacy fix (and I know you do), then hit the jump to check them out.  Also, after the jump we've included a report on how the film is currently tracking soft at the box office right now.

TRON: Legacy opens in 3D on December 17th.

THR is reporting that the film is tracking "soft" right now and is headed for a disappointing $35 million opening weekend.  That would be a major blow to Disney, who have reportedly spent $200 million on the production (not to mention the costs of their massive marketing campaign).  The film has to open at at least $50 million to  be on the path to profitability.  However, this number doesn't factor in international grosses and how the film is opening on December 17th in most of the world.  But perception counts and armchair execs will label the film a flop if it doesn't have a stellar opening weekend in the U.S.  Since I don't own Disney stock, I couldn't care less how the film does at the box office.  I just want to enjoy it as a movie.

Here's the official synopsis for TRON: Legacy:

TRON is a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn (GARRETT HEDLUND), the tech-savvy 27-year-old son of Kevin Flynn (JEFF BRIDGES), looks into his father’s disappearance and finds himself pulled into the same world of fierce programs and gladiatorial games where his father has been living for 25 years. Along with Kevin’s loyal confidant (OLIVIA WILDE), father and son embark on a life-and-death journey across a visually-stunning cyber universe that has become far more advanced and exceedingly dangerous.
