Mondo is getting in on the TRON: Legacy action by releasing posters for TRON and TRON: Legacy by Eric Tan.  Each of these beauties measures 16″x24″, uses glow-in-the-dark inks, is limited to an edition of 240, and costs $40.  Hit the jump to check out the posters along with a statement from Tan on his approach to the artwork.  The posters go on sale tomorrow so be sure you’re following @MondoNews for the announcement.  TRON: Legacy stars Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde, and Jeff Bridges.  It opens in 3D this Friday.

Here’s what Tan had to say about his designs:

“When creating posters for each of the ‘Tron’ films, what immediately came to mind were the parallels between the two worlds and how it had progressed over the years.  Since similar elements such as disks, light cycles, and recognizers exist in both, I thought showing the contrast between new and old was a visually interesting angle to play up. Linking the two main characters was something I thought would add to the storytelling and the father/son dynamic between Kevin and Sam Flynn.  To me, those films are amazing examples of visual ‘candy,’ and I hope I was able to capture that in my posters.”

Also, it’s worth noting that this is Mondo’s first collaboration with Sideshow Collectibles.  Variants of both posters will be available for purchase at SideshowCollectibles.com at a later date.  Here’s the press release:
