If you count "Kid," tonight's casting report features a great group of first names.

  • Holliday Grainger is in negotiations to star opposite Christoph Waltz in the period romance Tulip Fever, directed by Justin Chadwick (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom).
  • Kid Cudi has joined the cast of the Entourage movie, written and directed by series creator Doug Ellin.
  • Genesis Rodriguez will join Topher Grace and Patricia Clarkson in the supernatural thriller Home, directed by Dennis Iliadis (The Last House on the Left).

The adaptation of Deborah Moggach's novel, Tulilp Fever, is set in 17th century Amsterdam.  The Wrap reports Grainger will play a married woman in an affair with an artist in Tulip Fever: "The lovers gamble on the booming market for tulip bulbs as a way to raise money to run away together."  This is a passion project for Alison Owen (Saving Mr. Banks), who will produce alongside Harvey Weinstein (August: Osage County).  Pre-production is scheduled to start in April.

The Entourage movie sees Vinnie Chase (Adrian Grenier) making a big-budget Dracula movie.  According to Deadline, Cudi will play the new assistant of Ari Gold (Jeremy Piven.  Ellin is currently shooting the movie in Los Angeles.  Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, Kevin Connolly, Billy Bob Thornton, and Haley Joel Osment also star.

Per The Wrap, Adam Alleca's script for Home centers on "a man (Grace) who inherits a mansion from his deceased parents and starts to suspect it is haunted after a series of disturbing events."  No word on Rodriguez's role.  Blumhouse's Jason Blum (The Purge) and Graham King (World War Z) will produce along with Leonardo DiCaprio and his Appian Way partner Jennifer Killoran (Out of the Furnace).
