Today, we’re pleased to bring you an exclusive look at the Turbo Kid poster. Set in the post-apocalyptic wasteland of 1997, Munro Chambers leads as The Kid, a teenager who’s been on his own in a post-apocalyptic world for years. He’s managed to get by, but when the local overlord Zeus (Michael Ironside) abducts his only friend, The Kid comes to realize he’s got to step up, channel his favorite superhero, Turbo Rider, and become a hero himself.

The movie looks like a big, bloody, delightfully bonkers blast, and I like the mash-up of tones its going for while still having a personality all its own. I've heard nothing but good things about the film, and I can't wait to check it out when it opens.

Check out the Turbo Kid poster below along with the NSFW trailer. The film opens August 28th in New York, LA, DC, San Francisco, Dallas, Austin, Houston, and 20 additional cities. The film will have its North American premiere at the 19th annual Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal on July 23rd, and its New Zealand premiere at the New Zealand International Film Festival on July 18th, followed up by its UK/European Premiere at FrightFest London on August 27th.
