A new trailer and poster have been released for DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo.  The story follows a snail (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) who dreams of being able to go fast, and gets his wish after a freak accident.  He then goes to pursue his dream of racing in the Indy 500.  The trailer looks cute, but I’m not sure if the movie has an antagonist.  I hope it’s salt.

Here’s the official synopsis for Turbo:

From the makers of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda, Turbo is a high-velocity 3D comedy about an underdog snail who kicks into overdrive when he miraculously attains the power of super-speed. But after making fast friends with a crew of streetwise, tricked-out es-car-goes, Turbo learns that no one succeeds on their own. So he puts his heart and shell on the line to help his pals achieve their dreams, before Turbo-charging his own impossible dream: winning the Indy 500.

  1. @ Matt Goldberg Isn’t it obvious who the antagonist in this film is? It’s Turbo himself. Later, he will transform into a human (game character) and go turbo into Sugarland Rush.

  2. This movie doesn’t even sound real. The story looks like a Family Guy joke of a movie that would be too stupid to exist, so it’s done for the relief of comedy.

I guess I can buy (by throwing my brain out) a snail becoming super fast through nitrous, but why would that also give him headlights and a car alarm?

    Defiantly looks bad.
