New Trailer for TURBO Featuring the Voices of Ryan Reynolds, Paul Giamatti, and Samuel L. Jackson

A new trailer and poster have been released for DreamWorks Animation’s Turbo.  The story follows a snail (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) who dreams of being able to go fast, and gets his wish after a freak accident.  He then goes to pursue his dream of racing in the Indy 500.  The trailer looks cute, but I’m not sure if the movie has an antagonist.  I hope it’s salt.

Hit he jump to check out the trailer and poster.  The film also features the voices of Paul Giamatti, Michael Pena, Luis Guzmán, Bill Hader, Richard Jenkins, Ken Jeong, Michelle Rodriguez, Maya Rudolph, Ben Schwartz, Kurtwood Smith, Snoop Dogg, and Samuel L. JacksonTurbo opens in 3D on July 19th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Turbo:

From the makers of Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda, Turbo is a high-velocity 3D comedy about an underdog snail who kicks into overdrive when he miraculously attains the power of super-speed. But after making fast friends with a crew of streetwise, tricked-out es-car-goes, Turbo learns that no one succeeds on their own. So he puts his heart and shell on the line to help his pals achieve their dreams, before Turbo-charging his own impossible dream: winning the Indy 500.

@ Matt Goldberg Isn’t it obvious who the antagonist in this film is? It’s Turbo himself. Later, he will transform into a human (game character) and go turbo into Sugarland Rush.

The plot is a mishmash of Fastand Furious and Ratatouille. Don’t have high hopes for this.

“You know what I’d love to see… a movie about a snail that gets superpowers.” said no one ever.

This is the remake of Flash McQueen with antennas.

This movie doesn’t even sound real. The story looks like a Family Guy joke of a movie that would be too stupid to exist, so it’s done for the relief of comedy.

I guess I can buy (by throwing my brain out) a snail becoming super fast through nitrous, but why would that also give him headlights and a car alarm?

    Defiantly looks bad.
