Wanna watch David Lynch eat a donut? Yes? Okay, cool. Just checking.

The creator of Twin Peaks is, obviously, returning to spearhead the revival series coming to Showtime later next year, but he’s also back as FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole. The network announced the character in a new teaser video, which mostly focuses on his snacking skills.

Cole went through Quantico with Agent Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan), but sometime around 1969 or so, he suffered severe hearing loss from an incident he commonly prefers to as “a long story.” Now he has to wear hearing aides, but he still speaks at a loud volume, which didn’t seem to hinder his flirting with waitress Shelly Johnson.

Here’s a clip of Gordon and his love for Shelly and cherry pie, which also includes his special hangover cure:

dchen Amick will return as Shelly for the revival, which also features Ray Wise, Alicia Witt, Warren Frost, Dana Ashbrook, Sherilyn Fenn, David Duchovny, James Belushi, Chrysta Bell, Robert Knepper, Michael Cera, Eddie Vedder, Amanda Seyfried, Tom Sizemore, Balthazar Getty, Naomi Watts, and Laura Dern, among others.

Twin Peaks will return sometime in early 2017 on Showtime. Watch the video of Lynch’s return below:

Here’s the official synopsis:

Widely considered one of the most groundbreaking and influential broadcast series of all time, TWIN PEAKS followed the inhabitants of a quaint northwestern town who were stunned after their homecoming queen Laura Palmer was shockingly murdered. The town's sheriff welcomed the help of FBI agent Dale Cooper, who came to town to investigate the case. As Cooper conducted his search for Laura's killer, the town's secrets were gradually exposed. The mystery that ensued set off an eerie chain of events that plunged the inhabitants of Twin Peaks into a darker examination of their very existence. Twenty-five years later, the story continues…
