While it probably won’t end up on anyone’s year-end Top 10 lists, I thought Isla Fisher gave a star-making performance in “Confessions of a Shopaholic” and pushed her to one of the top comediennes in mainstream movies. It looks like Universal agrees they’re developing two movies as possible star vehicles for the comely redhead. Hit the jump for more details.
Variety reports that Fisher is attached to star in two upcoming films from Universal. The first film is called “Life Coach” which is a comedy about a young woman who consults a life coach who turns out need’s his/her own life coaching. That’s surprising since life coaches have to go through rigorous training and certification for a difficult and totally-not-made-up job.
The other is an untitled romantic comedy based on a French script called “Un Jour mes princes viendront” (One Day My Princes Will Come) but the studio didn’t disclose the logline so all that we know at this point is that someone who cuts trailers for Universal is probably reading this story and getting aroused at the prospect of breaking out “Two Princes” by the Spin Doctors. The Spin Doctors are also getting aroused at the possibility of a royalty check.
