For many months, all I’d heard about “Valkyrie” was bad buzz. It didn’t help that the release date kept changing, and rumors about everyone’s accents (in the movie) being different added to the drama. But I managed to see the movie and have to say, I enjoyed it. Solid action, a great cast, and Bryan Singer’s direction all led to a movie I’d definitely recommend. The problem is…I don’t know who is really excited to see it.
Here’s the thing…I’m fascinated by history. Back in High School and College, history courses were some of the few I excelled in. So a movie about Nazi Germany that tells a true story that I didn’t know much about…I was very interested in it. But I also know I’m not the norm…
Thankfully, even if you know what happens, the film does a great job building up tension and keeping you guessing…the only negative is…if you don’t know much about Nazi Germany and the leaders of the era, the movie doesn’t do a lot of explaining. It just assumes you know the major players.
Anyway…we’ve been provided a ton of clips and featurette’s so take a look below the official synopsis:
