The first trailer for Mark Waters' Vampire Academy shows off the latest adaptation in the supernatural YA craze. Adapted by Daniel Waters (Batman Returns), the Richelle Mead novel series follows Rose Hathaway, who works as a bodyguard for her best friend and Moroi vampire princess, Lissa. The pair must survive the dangers of St. Vladimir's Academy while navigating forbidden romances and awkward social situations. Oh, and the fact that the deadly Strigoi want to claim Lissa for their own. This first trailer doesn't so much explain anything that's going on or even tell us who these teens are, but it does introduce us to the world inside the academy walls, which is a sexy and bloody world, indeed.

Synopsis:
