Okay, to label this new video blog for Edgar Wright’s adaptation of Bryan Lee O’Malley’s “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” as “Music!” is slightly misleading for there is no music contained therein. There are some notes. There are some instruments. There is an eight-year-old drummer for “Crash and the Boys”. But there is no music. Maybe it’s clearance issues; maybe they’re not actually filming music live and are recording it in post; and maybe they just like toying with my emotions. I’m going to go with “emotional toying”.
We also meet Chris Murphy of the Canadian band Sloan who’s also the film’s music director, so that’s nice. All “Scott Pilgrim” fans must now go and listen to all of Sloan’s records if they have not done so already.
Check out the new video blog after the jump.
