Here is a bunch of new Nintendo information announced today.

The Nintendo DS is getting a bit cheaper. On August 21st the DS is dropping from $149 to $129, obviously this will make it stronger against the Sony PSP, even though the two systems are going after separate demographics.

Also Nintendo announced that the release date is September 19th for their new mini system called the Nintendo Micro. If you haven’t heard about their new Micro, it measures just four inches wide, two inches tall and less than an inch deep, the Micro weighs just 2.8 ounces, roughly the same as 80 paper clips. No price has been released, but I would guess it will be under $100, or maybe even a lot cheaper than we all expect....

"This is not a new technology," said Reggie Fils-Aime, executive vice president at Nintendo of America. "It is a new look in that it has the best and brightest screen we've ever put in a handheld. It's also a new look in that no matter how tight your jeans are, it will still fit in your pocket."

Last, and this is not good news for all you Zelda fans, the new game called “Zelda: Twilight Princess” has been pushed back until next year. This was the E3 Critics Award from this year’s convention for best console game and best action/adventure game.

More info as we get it, but doesn’t the new Nintendo micro remind you of the old Nintendo Game and Watch systems?
