Ah Jerome, your attempts to ruin the singing of the Strong Badia Anthem with your talking only succeeded in saddling us with low-fat chocolate skim milk for the rest of the term.  I hope you’re happy.  For everyone else, however, the Second episode of Strong Bad’s Cool Games for Attractive People: “Strong Bad Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free” is now available for PC and Nintendo’s WiiWare.

The PC version retails for $8.95, or for $34.95, you get the “season set” which includes all the episodes. For commitment shy customers who only bought Episode 1: 'Homestar Ruiner', you can purchase the rest of the season for $26.  That’s just value. The WiiWare version can be downloaded through the Wii Shop Channel for 1,000 Wii points.

For those who played Episode 1—not THAT Episode 1… shudder—you’ll be happy to know that the folks at Telltale are continuing with the shenanigans they introduced in the first game.  As promised, however, there is still more content in this installment, including—dare I say it?!?!—topical political references?!?!?  Okay, maybe not topical, but when Strong Bad feuds with the King of Town, War DOES literally break out!  Strong Bad must then quest, as only SB can to re-unite his friends and form Strong Badia!  (I’ve always wondered why it was its own nation.)

As with SB Episode 1: “Homestar Ruiner”, there are mini games, and challenges, and unlockables, and da e-mail, da e-mail…  Gracious, it is almost too much awesome.  It’s a handy thing this writer is an incredibly cool and attractive, or this game might prove too much!

I enjoyed the first, and will enjoy the subsequent episodes.  Clearly I’m already sold on SB and Company. But, for those poor souls who find themselves skeptical… the good folks at Telltale have again provided us with a demo link that you, your sad selves might try the game before committing your 9 bucks, which seriously?  Nine bucks.  Nueve.  Neuf.  NINE.  And I thought I was commitment shy…

Here’s the link:

I give SB Episode 2 an A for Awesome AND Attractive.  Check out the Demo for yourselves.  I’m off to fight Tyranny, and the Poopsmith….
