And the 20 Additional Songs for ROCK BAND 2 Are...

After much speculation and delay, Harmonix has finally released the track list for the 20 additional DLC songs that were promised when you picked up your copy of "Rock Band 2".  And the list is...disappointing.

There just aren't any name bands to get excited about or even to summon the energy to hate.  This release says "We wanted to make sure we had 500 songs available by year's end and it's quantity over quality this time,".  That's not to say that maybe these songs won't be fun to play.

That's the tricky thing about "Rock Band": songs you think you'll love turn out to be less fun than you thought and songs you never heard of or never cared for turn out to be rather addicting.  So while it's easy to direct some disdain towards Harmonix for not giving us tracks like "Smells Like Teen Spirit" or "Stairway to Heaven", it's twenty free songs.  If you don't like them, you can just as easily delete them from your hard drive.  I wish the same could be said of "Visions" by Abnormality which shouldn't even qualify as music.

Here's the twenty songs that will be available for download on November 4th (provided you followed the instructions on the back of your "Rock Band 2" game manual):

The 88 - "Sons and Daughters"

Authority Zero - "No Regrets"

Between the Buried and Me - "Prequel To The Sequel"

The Cab - "Bounce"

The Chevelles - "Get It On"

The Cocktail Slippers - "Give It To Me"

Dealership - "Database Corrupted"

Endeverafter - "I Wanna Be Your Man"

The Ghost Hounds - "Ashes To Fire"

Hollywood Undead - "Young"

Kutless - "The Feeling"

The Len Price 3 - "If I Ain't Got You"

Lesley Roy - "I'm Gone, I'm Going"

Opiate for the Masses - "Burn You Down"

Semi-Precious Weapons - "Magnetic Baby"

Shaimus - "Like a Fool"

Thenewno2 - "Crazy Tuesday"

Tickle Me Pink - "The Time Is Wrong"

Underoath  - "Desperate Times, Desperate Measures"

X Japan - "I.V."
