EW reports vince-gilligan-breaking-badthat Gilligan will transition in front of the camera on an upcoming episode of Community.  He’ll play “a smooth-talking gold digger who winds up exacerbating a fight between Annie (Alison Brie) and Abed (Danny Pudi).”  The episode is filming this week but will likely air either in late winter or early spring.  Breaking Bad star Jonathan Banks will have a longer run on the series, starring a criminology professor in 11 episodes.  Other guest stars include Walton Goggins, Nathan Fillion, Robert Patrick, Paget Brewster, Kumail Nanjiani, Tim Heidecker, Eric Wareheim, Katie Leclerc, Ben Folds and Arrested Development creator Mitchell Hurwitz. Returning guest stars include John Oliver, Rob Corddry and Brie Larson.  Season five of Community begins January 2nd.

EW also reports that Gunn will guest on The Mindy Project.  She’ll play “Sheila Hamilton, a high-profile New York doctor with A-list clientele — ‘the Tory Burch of Manhattan OB/GYNs,’ according to Mindy Lahiri (Kaling). In the episode, Sheila intends to poach Mindy from her current office. Though Mindy’s pleased to have a fan at first, she grows wary of Sheila’s attention.”  Here’s what Gunn had to say about the comedic role:

“It would be a lot of fun to play some comedy. I’m looking at just some really interesting different character roles that would be a complete 180 from Skyler that would allow me to really stretch and show my range and show colors and things that I haven’t been able to in the past few years.”

Unless it deviates from the movie, we already know how 12 Monkeys ends so what’s the point?

As someone who’s spent the last two weeks watching ‘Breaking Bad’ for the first time – and am now about half way through Season 4 – does anyone think that Skyler White is… well, a skank! Is she supposed to be unlikeable ’cause I’ve went right off her since the ‘incident’ with her boss Ted… someone tell me I’ve gotten Mrs White all wrong… Anna Gunn is a FANTASTIC actress though!

lol there was much discussion about Skyler during the show’s run, about how viewers decided that somehow what Walt was doing was “okay” but what Skyler did during the course of the show made her a terrible person, what a bitch, how could she. Lol it’s not just you. But what makes her more “unlikeable” than Walter? We’ve seen Walter kill people, provide junkies with more filth, he almost gets his brother in law killed in the parking lot by the Cousins. He’s the bad guy, no? Yet Skyler reacts harshly towards Walter’s secret life and people lost their minds. She wants a divorce, the starts seeing someone else, what a skank!

I found all the BB characters deserved a little more digging and analysis into who they were, as opposed to going with our first reactions to the things on screen. How would you act if your significant other was a criminal? Why do we feel such affection towards Walter? There will come a point at the end of season4/beginning of season 5 when your views may change!

I look forward to it, Nathan, cheers for the reply… but MAN, that shootout between Hank and the Cousins in the parking lot was seriously awesome… take that ’24′!!!
