The highlighted words from the Iron Man 2 viral campaign clippings turned out to be a link: starksecretconfessionsrevealed.com. The website displayed a 60-minute countdown to the first trailer for the film going online–well in advance of its expected reveal as an attachment to Sherlock Holmes (although that’s where you’ll get to see it on the big screen for the first time). Hopefully we’ll see the viral campaign continue up to the film’s release and offer other cool reveals like this one.
As for the trailer, it’s awesome. Were you expecting anything less? It uses a lot of footage that was shown at Comic-Con but since I lost my mind over that, I have no problem losing it again now. Also, going through the trailer frame-by-frame (I’m a nerd, get over it), you can see that the Iron Man armor changes over the course of the film. At the beginning, it has the circular emblem but at the end of the trailer you can see it’s been changed to the triangle which is closer to the comic-book illustration of the character. I’ve included screencaps after the jump.
We’ve included the trailer after the jump if you must to see it now (and you must) but you can click over to Apple.com if you want to see it in HD (and you will want to see it in HD). Iron Man 2 hits theaters on May 7, 2010.

WOW!!!! War Machine looks fantastic! And great to see an army of killer robots too! Just what the film needs, decent Cannon fodder. Hope it gets brutal.
Whiplash also looks the business, hope he goes full metal though, i suspect he will as hes too exposed to being shot with a vest on.
Cant wait, and i predict this sequel may top TDK and Avatar at the box office. The first was too much of a surprise hit with people, even non-Ironman fans. ie, jo public.

I always preferred the round one as it was more retro, but then they changed it to a Superman shaped logo, which i never understood. I’m glad here it is merely a simple triangle.

Also Matt, unrelated question if your reading. Any more recent scoops on the upcoming Judge Dredd movie? Been dormant for a while since i last heard.
That’s what I meant. It’s closer to what it currently is in the comics. But I agree that it’s better as a triangle than a pentagon, although I like the circle the best.
Unfortunately, no new word on Judge Dredd. We’ll be sure to report any updates we hear about the film.

That was DAMN cool. No look at Scarlet yet and I’m honestly a bit worried about her. I am pretty sure this will not surpass the first in quality but it might surpass it in B.O. take. I sort of hope so, but my hopes aren’t that high.
I must say I’m a bit disappointed to see the triangle/diamond back. I really like the circle. :-/
