You shouldn’t need a reason to watch Sunday’s season premiere of Breaking Bad beyond Breaking Bad being the best show on television.  Instead, the following news item should be taken as a bonus: Zap2It reports that AMC will debut the first look at the second season of The Walking Dead during Breaking Bad‘s season premiere.  I don’t know how long the preview will be or what they’ll be showing, but if AMC wants to show me a Walking Dead preview, I’m not going to disagree.

The season four premiere of Breaking Bad airs this Sunday at 10pm/9c.  The second season of The Walking Dead premieres in October.

  1. Breaking Bad is this generation’s The Wire, by far the best TV series on air.

And I’m also a huge fan of Mad Men and Game of Thrones.

Bryan Cranston will definetly be up for another nomination next year.

That man even made think chemestry was cool again during high school.

As for the Walking Dead, something left me cold after the terrific first episode.

They wasted a great potential regarding the dilemma shown during the first episode, in which the sheriff shoots a zombie girl who was perhaps still aware of her own humanity as she picked up her fallen teddy bear.

Then came the stereotypical band of survivors and everything fell apart, I just felt like I had seen those people on better zombie related games/films.

And finally Dr. Jenner explained during a forced and cold exposition scene the truth about the zombies, that they were long gone and had lost their own awareness, like in a Resident Evil backlog. Destroying everything the first episode had hinted so subtly during its first few minutes.

I hope it will get better since I’ve never read the comics.
