Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures have released two new Warcraft Comic-Con posters featuring the lead characters—the orc Durotan (Toby Kebbell) and the human Lothar (Travis Fimmel). In Duncan Jones’ adaptation of the bestselling video game series, the story follows both sides of a war that erupts between humans and orcs when a portal connects their worlds in the peaceful realm of Azeroth.

The studio showed off some footage yesterday at the film's Comic-Con panel, and Adam liked what he saw. Presumably, it’s better than these posters, which make clear why they chose to reveal Orgrim (Rob Kazinsky) first since he looks a lot cooler than Durotan. As for Lothar, it looks like he’s taking a nap while levitating, and perhaps if he was more alert, he’s wouldn’t be losing all the sand he was holding.

Here’s the official synopsis for Warcraft:

From Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures comes Warcraft, an epic adventure of world-colliding conflict based on Blizzard Entertainment’s global phenomenon.

The peaceful realm of Azeroth stands on the brink of war as its civilization faces a fearsome race of invaders: Orc warriors fleeing their dying home to colonize another.  As a portal opens to connect the two worlds, one army faces destruction and the other faces extinction.  From opposing sides, two heroes are set on a collision course that will decide the fate of their family, their people and their home.

So begins a spectacular saga of power and sacrifice in which war has many faces, and everyone fights for something.
