“Hey, mother, I come bearing a gift. I'll give you a hint. It's in my diaper and it's not a toaster.”

-- Stewie Griffin

Since the first day “Family Guy” aired I’ve been a fan. Back when no one was watching and the time it aired constantly changed, I tuned in. And I definitely remember when FOX dumped the remaining episodes they had over a summer and all of the people who loved the show figured that was it.

But a funny thing happened.

The show got popular after its cancellation. Not sort of popular, I mean the kind that makes a network say we f*cked up pretty bad and we’re going to bring back a show that we originally cancelled.

You see when FOX released “Family Guy” on DVD it sold like it was free. People bought it, and then more people bought it. In the first year it sold over 2 million copies.

At the same time, the show was airing on the Cartoon Network Adult Swim lineup and the ratings were through the roof.

So, as I said, FOX brought back the show and now it gets good numbers each week and it’s become a staple of the network. And if you don’t think FOX is happy with “Family Guy,” think again. During this year’s Emmy Awardsthey had Brian and Stewie do a song near the opening of the show. That’s not something you do unless you want to raise a show’s exposure even higher.

Anyway, while no one ever thought “Family Guy” would celebrate the big 100th Birthday for episodes made… on November 4th they’ll be doing just that with a special episode called “Stewie Kills Lois.” I don’t think I need to spell out what's finally going to happen.

Obviously I don’t know if Lois getting killed will be continued after this special episode, or if they’ll just treat this like a one off special. I’m just happy that the show is back on the air because it’s one of my favorite shows to watch each week.

So to help celebrate the birthday and raise awareness for this special episode, FOX has been kind enough to provide me with 4 clips from the show. And for those who need a bit more info on the episode… here’s the brief synopsis: When Stewie gets upset with Lois for leaving him at home, he vows to carry out a diabolical plan.
