Now airing on FX Thursday nights is the comedy series The Comedians. The show stars Billy Crystal and Josh Gad and revolves around the two of them crafting an FX sketch series called The Billy & Josh Show where they play versions of themselves. While the conceit of a behind-the-scenes look at the making of a TV show has been done countless times before, what’s great about The Comedians is Crystal and Gad are willing to poke fun at themselves in a big way. Also, it’s pretty crazy to watch a show on FX about a show that might air on FX, and members of the real crew show up on the show within the show. For more read Chris’ review.

Last month I sat down with Josh Gad for an extended video interview. While I already posted what he had to say about making The Comedians and Frozen 2, today I’ve got him playing “Save or Kill” and answering a few other random questions like his first TV show crush and what’s his can’t-miss TV show. If you haven’t seen it yet, the "Save or Kill" game reveals which franchises, characters or bands someone would choose when pitted against another of equal value. Han Solo or Indiana Jones – If you were told you could only save one and the other would be erased from existence, who would you pick? In today’s extended edition of the game, you can watch as they’re forced to choose.

Josh Gad:

  • Save or kill.
  • Worst job he had before acting.
  • Last album he’s listened to in full.
  • Best advice he’s ever got.
  • Hidden talents.
  • First movie or TV crush.
  • Favorite Disney price, princess or villain.
  • Can’t miss TV show.
