Every year at Comic-Con, the studios find new and interesting ways to promote their new and returning TV shows and movies. For the past two years, Warner Bros. Entertainment has used hotel room key cards as a way to raise awareness for some of their shows. Since the promotion worked in the past, they’ve just announced they’re doing it again and they’ve created five limited-edition collectible key cards featuring specially designed artwork for Smallville, Supernatural, V, Batman: Under the Red Hood and a DC Comics App. You can see what they look like after the jump. According to the press release, the cards will be used for 29,000 hotel room keys…meaning if you’re going to Comic-Con, you’re going to probably get one.
From the press release:
A total of 29,000 branded room keys, designed by Warner Bros.’ Worldwide Television Marketing unit, will be distributed at 36 participating hotels throughout the San Diego area during the week of the Con. Featuring five different designs in two size variations, the room keys will generate buzz around the Studio’s properties among fans.
- “Smallville”: To celebrate the 10th and final season of “Smallville” and the show’s final appearance at Comic-Con, the key card features a shot of series star and executive producer Tom Welling. “Smallville” returns on September 24, airing Fridays at 8/7c on The CW.
- “Supernatural”: Series stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles return to lead this hit series into its sixth season, airing on a new night this fall: Fridays at 9/8c on The CW. The series premieres September 24.
- “V”: The thrilling drama series had the highest-rated debut episode of any scripted series during the 2009–10 season among Adults 18–49 and returns for its second season in November on ABC. The key card features series star Morena Baccarin in her role as Anna, the leader of the Visitors.
- “Batman: Under the Red Hood”: The most recent entry in the popular ongoing series of DC UNIVERSE animated original PG-13 movies – from Warner Premiere, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation – is available for digital rental on iTunes, Amazon Video On Demand, Sony PlayStation Network, Zune Marketplace on Xbox Live and Best Buy CinemaNow starting July 24 and purchase July 27 on Blu-ray™, DVD and for download.
DC Comics’App: With the successful debut of DC Comics’ App for iPhone®, iPad® and iPod® Touch and Sony’s PSP®, now fans can download hundreds of comic books from their favorite DC Comics, Vertigo and WildStorm issues. .

I want them all!!!!
Steve, talking about ComicCon and the fact that Radical will have a panel on Thursday, any chance of you posting full transcript/audio clip of this Radical Publishing/Full Clip Productions Q&A roundtable you promised some time ago?
I know it's a busy week with Inception opening and many updates on many projects so I'm not pressing or anything.
Just checking if it hasn't slipped your mind in all the recent rush
Supernatural has no place in Comic-Con, why does it get a key card? IT has NO SUPERHEROES IN IT. What a stupid show anyways.
even if i don't share your view on the show, it does have it's place, since it's been transformed into manga in japan and it comes out soon… and anyway, twilight doesnt have superheroes on it and it also gets there, so the idea doesnt really aplies dont you think?
*roll eyes* Most of Comic Con's TV and movie panels are about shows that have no Superheroes but are horror, fantasy or sci-fi-related. Supernatural is a horror show, so it fits. Or have you seen any Superheroes in Lost, Dexter, True Blood, Vampire diaries, Fringe, Chuck, The Big Bang Theory, Nikita, SGU, etc etc etc
You might have not noticed but nowadays every show that has a slightly genre appeal, has a presence at Comic Con. So your argument is stupid! For the record, Supernatural has been at Comic Con for over 3 years now and it even has 3 comic book mini-series (Rising Son, Origins, Beginning's End).
