I've been corrupted by my own knowledge of pop culture.  I should look at this trailer for We Need to Talk about Kevin and acknowledge that it's a creepy-looking drama and I'm glad there's positive buzz on the movie.  Unfortunately, all I can think is, "So this is a live-action movie about Stewie Griffin?"  The trailer makes it look like the kid is trying to kill his mother (Tilda Swinton), but the story is about the kid (Ezra Miller) going on a killing spree at his high school and the mother trying to work through her grief by writing letters to her estranged husband (John C. Reilly).  I'd much rather watch that than Family Guy.

Hit the jump to watch the French trailer.  We Need to Talk about Kevin played at this year's Cannes Film Festival and North American audiences will get their first look at the movie when it plays at the Toronto International Film Festival.  The movie opens domestically on December 2nd.
