Oscilloscope has released another great poster for Lynne Ramsay‘s unnerving drama We Need to Talk about Kevin, while New Line Cinema continues to throw out unimaginative posters for New Year’s Eve. While I wasn’t enamored of the UK quad for Kevin, the past two have been terrific, and this is the best one yet. It’s the first poster to show young Kevin (Jasper Newell), who is even creepier than the teenage version (Ezra Miller). I’m not sure where Newell came from, but the movie wouldn’t work as well without him. Of course, the real gem is Tilda Swinton who gives the one of the best performances I’ve seen this year. And then there’s New Year’s Eve, which should just change its title to Famous People Paid for a Few Days Work.

Here’s the official synopsis for We Need to Talk about Kevin:
A suspenseful and psychologically gripping exploration into a parent dealing with her child doing the unthinkable, We Need to Talk About Kevin is the highly-anticipated third feature from director Lynne Ramsay and features a tour-de-force performance by Tilda Swinton.
Poster via New Line Cinema.
Here’s the official synopsis for New Year’s Eve:
