Monday, 11/9
Fargo, “The Gift of the Magi” (FX, 10 p.m.) - The Blumquists (Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst) fight over what their next move should be, as Floyd (Jean Smart) starts making moves of her own against the brass. Meanwhile, a visit from Ronald Reagan (Bruce Campbell) puts Lou (Patrick Wilson) out of commission for the time being.
Tuesday, 11/10
The Flash, “Enter Zoom” (The CW, 8 p.m.) - Barry (Grant Gustin) thinks up a, er, not perfect plan to defeat Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd), which does not sit well with Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Jay (Teddy Sears), but gets the approval of the all-important Iris (Candice Patton), who backs him up with some help from an unlikely friend.
Wednesday, 11/11
Arrow, “Lost Souls” (The CW, 8 p.m.) - Damien Darhk, played by Neal McDonough, holds Ray (Brandon Routh) captive, a situation that leads to major-league tensions between our hero, Oliver (Stephen Amell), and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) in the latest episode of The CW's crazy-popular DC adaptation.
Empire, “True Love Never” (Fox, 9 p.m.) - The crazy turns of Fox's lunatic melodrama continue as Lucious (Terrence Howard) ponders a partnership with Jago (Patrick Mulvey), and Cookie (Taraji P. Henson) attempts to get Lyon Dynasty involved in a big-time, celebrity-headed charity concert on television.
Thursday, 11/12
2 Broke Girls Season 5 Premiere, “And the Wrecking Ball” (CBS, 9:30 p.m.) - Yes, this series, which stars Kat Dennings and Beth Behrs as two single-ish waitresses living in New York, is still on the air. I don't know how, but it is, and as the fifth season begins...the same intermittently endurable plot devices are happening, with slight modifications.
Friday, 11/13
The Knick, “Whiplash” (Cinemax, 10 p.m.) - On the latest episode of television's best drama, a subway accident leads to the Knickerbocker being flooded with ghastly injuries that keeps all the doctors good and busy, while Thackery (Clive Owen) also finds the perfect specimen for his theory on curing addiction at the hospital.
Saturday, 11/14
Ash vs. Evil Dead, “Books From Beyond” (Starz, 9 p.m.) - Ash (Bruce Campbell) and his comrades continue their search for the Necronomicon on the latest episode of this intensely enjoyable Starz series, with Lucy Lawless joining the crew as a mysterious woman who stumbles onto our heroes.
Sunday, 11/15
Homeland, “Oriole” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) - After some intense happenings in Berlin, Carrie (Claire Danes) gets to reconnect with some old friends, who could easily be either villains or real allies underneath it all, and Saul (Mandy Patinkin) finally comes clean with Allison (Miranda Otto). Everything will clearly end cleanly, as it always does with this show.
The Walking Dead, “Always Accountable” (AMC, 9 p.m.) - As we continue to piece together what happened in the wake of Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) plan to get rid of the Alpha Horde, Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), and Daryl (Norman Reedus) are seen attempting to return to Alexandria. I imagine it will not be that much fun.
Into the Badlands Series Premiere, “The Fort” (AMC, 10 p.m.) - AMC gets into the martial arts game with this deeply mediocre series, which features Danny Wu as Sonny, a "clipper" (read: assassin) for an all-powerful land baron (Martin Csokas) in an alternate dimension or world. Yet another middling effort from Wedding Crashers helmer David Dobkin, who directs and produces here. Check back for Allison's review.
