Monday, 11/16
Fargo, “Rhinoceros” (FX, 10 p.m.) - The Gerhardts attempt to get back a member of their tribe in the latest episode of FX's best current series, just as Hank (Ted Danson) and Lou (Patrick Wilson) attempt to get in front of a brewing quarrel that could leave bodies on the ground.
Tuesday, 11/17
The Flash, “Gorilla Warfare” (The CW, 8 p.m.) - As you might have pieced together from the title, the latest episode of this amiable superhero series sees Barry (Grant Gustin) facing off with Gorilla Grodd once again, just as Cisco (Carlos Valdes) prepares for his first date with the new employee at Jitters.
The Bastard Executioner Season 1 Finale, “Blood and Quiescence/Crau a Chwsg” (FX, 10 p.m.) - In the merciful, long-overdue season finale of this grim, incompetent historical action-drama, the gang bands together for a dangerous rescue mission that may just leave them all in a painful place. Please let this be the end.
Wednesday, 11/18
Arrow, “Brotherhood” (The CW, 8 p.m.) - Not so surprisingly, the fight between our green-looking hero (Stephen Amell) and Damien Darkh, played by the menacing Neal McDonough, continues to rage on in the upcoming episode of The CW's lesser but marginally interesting superhero series.
Empire, “My Bad Parts” (Fox, 9 p.m.) - The madness continues on Fox's tremendous music-business melodrama's second season, as Lucious (Terrence Howard) openly sets up Freda as his official heir, sending Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) into battle mode and a spiral of self-questioning and uncertainty. Not exactly newfound ground, but odds are it won't be boring.
Thursday, 11/19
Scandal, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” (ABC, 9 p.m.) - The search for Rowan continues on the next episode of ABC's major yet dramatically minor melodrama, just as Olivia (Kerry Washington) begins getting used to some of her duties at the White House, and is perturbed by others.
Friday, 11/20
Marvel’s Jessica Jones (Netflix) – Marvel's remarkable second adaptation from Netflix follows the super-strong titular heroine, played by Breaking Bad breakout Krysten Ritter, as she attempts to recover from the damage done by her relationship with the menacing Kilgrave (David Tennant), a man with the immense power of mind control, just as he weasels his way back into her life. This makes Netflix two-for-two in Marvel adaptations, already outpacing most major film companies in this arena.
The Knick, “There are Rules” (Cinemax, 10 p.m.) – Cinemax's flagship program continues its sterling, stirring second season as Bertie (Michael Angarano) is faced with a quandary at Mt. Sinai, which leads him to go in on a dicey proposition with Algernon (Andre Holland), while Thackery (Clive Owens) gets fascinated by conjoined twins and considers hypnosis.
Saturday, 11/21
Ash vs. Evil Dead, “Brujo” (Starz, 9 p.m.) - Starz's sensationally gore-ridden comedy continues on as Bruce Campbell's Ash and his team of survivors agree to a truce with an unlikely ally, but a new situation puts Kelly (Dana DeLorenzo) in danger.
Sunday, 11/22
Homeland, “All About Allison” (Showtime, 9 p.m.) - In the latest episode of Homeland's bravura fifth season, Carrie (Claire Danes) enlists Allison (Miranda Otto) help with one of the myriad issues that she's currently tending to, or not tending to, depending on your perspective.
The Walking Dead, “Heads Up” (AMC, 9 p.m.) - Alexandria may just be on the brink of normalcy again, which is nice and all, but the recent casting of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the merciless Negan suggests that this is a temporary state of being.
Into the Badlands, “Fist Like a Bullet” (AMC, 10 p.m.) - Sunny (Daniel Wu) is faced with a test of loyalty when he's asked to carry out a rather unpleasant task with self-serving roots in the latest episode of this colorful but totally shallow AMC series.
