The folks at Spoke Art have an annual tradition, one that celebrates one of our greatest living entertainers by hiring dozens of artists to produce pieces of art based around that entertainer’s most cherished works.  We’re speaking, of course, about Spoke Art’s long-running Forever The Boss:  The Filmography of Tony Danza Retold Via Knitted Sweaters.  As you might expect, this series hasn’t sold a single piece since its 1988 inception.  It is the art world’s biggest ongoing catastrophic failure, truly one for the books.

Thank God, then, that the Spoke Art guys have another annual show that’s proved to be far more popular:  Bad Dads, an annual showcase of screenprints, paintings, and other works of art based around the filmography of Wes Anderson.  They just opened their third Bad Dads show:  wanna see some of the artwork from that show, and find out where you can buy some of those prints?  Meet me after the jump, folks.

Our friends at Spoke Art consistently produce some of the coolest posters featured here at Limited Paper, and over the years they’ve managed to carve out a respectable chunk of the poster-producing market for themselves.  Of all the works they produce, however, their annual Bad Dads show—which celebrates the work of director Wes Anderson via screenprints, sketches, paintings, and the like—is probably their biggest, most well-known ongoing contribution to the collecting community.

The Spoke Art guys—fresh off a successful run at New York Comic-Con (where they released Tom Whalen’s badass Transformers posters)—recently opened the third –ever Bad Dads show, and by all accounts it was another win for the gallery.  Limited Paper was (sadly) unable to make the show this year, but lucky for us (and you!) Spoke Art was cool enough to send over some pictures of the posters that debuted at that show, and they’ve also pointed us in the direction of their online store, where– if you like what ya see below—they’re still selling some of the remaining prints from the show.  Let’s see what’s what in terms of screenprints (if you’re interested in originals, Spoke Art’s got a number of those on display at their website):

This is far from everything that Spoke Art released as part of their Bad Dads show;  if we were to list out everything that went on sale for this show, we’d be here all day.  If you head over to this page,  you can see five pages’ worth of great artwork from Spoke Art’s Bad Dads show, and you might be surprised by how much awesome stuff is still available for purchase.  Unless something’s sold out since the time of this writing, for example, everything you’ve seen on this page is still on sale, and—in case you hadn’t noticed—the price point on all of these is pretty damn reasonable considering how small the edition sizes are.

Head on over to Spoke Art’s page to check those prints out now, and stay tuned for more stuff from the Spoke Art guys in the near future!  They’ve still got some of those Hasbro prints on the way, and I’m sure they’ve got a ton of other surprises up their sleeve in the months ahead.  As always, if you’re an artist or gallery with artwork you’d like to see featured on Limited Paper (or if you’re just some lucky bastard who happened to overhear a bit of poster-related gossip while standing in the bushes outside Martin Ansin’s house) we wanna hear from you!  Email Limited Paper directly at LimitedPaper@gmail.com, and be sure that you’re following us on Twitter via @LimitedPaper for ongoing commentary, news updates, giveaways, and more!
