HBO has unveiled the first Westworld Season 2 poster, and it’s incredibly creepy. Of course what do you expect from a series in which robots gain sentience and start murdering humans, but boy, this thing is weird. The second season of the sci-fi drama series, which is run by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, will double down on the reveals from the end of Season 1. Indeed, Nolan recently revealed that while Season 1 was called “The Maze,” Season 2 is being referred to as “The Door,” as the characters come to life and start making serious moves.

It’ll be interesting to see how the premise of the show sustains itself after the twists and turns of Season 1. One of the hurdles, one imagines, is the fact that the series takes place in a relatively contained area. Will we finally venture outside Westworld’s walls, or is that being held for a later season? One thing’s for sure: fans are eager to get back to investigatin’, as Westworld proved to be one of the most fun puzzle-box TV shows in quite some time.

It will actually have been almost a year and a half since the Season 1 finale when Season 2 begins, as Nolan and Joy asked for more time to prepare the scripts for the second season instead of rushing to hit a 2017 debut date. Given the success of the first season, HBO obliged. The network is in a hurry to fill the hole that Game of Thrones will leave when the series ends in 2019, so keeping Westworld fans tuned in is key to their long game.

Check out the creepy Westworld Season 2 poster below. The series stars Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Ed Harris, Tessa Thompson, and James Marsden and returns to HBO on April 22nd.
