The long-gestating remake of the 1970 sci-fi film Colossus: The Forbin Project is now seeing new life with a new screenwriter.  Reports have Ed Solomon (Men in Black) set to rewrite the script of Colossus, which is expected to star Will Smith.  Blake Masters and Jason Rothenberg previously turned in drafts of the sci-fi screenplay, which centers on Smith in the role of Dr. Charles Forbin, the creator of a computer that has taken over the world and the only scientist who can stop it.  THR reported that Solomon will once again team on a Smith-starrer with the rewrite.

  1. Right then. If this is going to happen then pay attention.
Are you listening Will Smith and Hollywood?
DON’T CHANGE THE END. If your test audiences don’t like it then tell them to piss off and get a new focus group in. DON’T CHANGE THE END.
    Clear enough for you?
    Good boy.

  2. I happen to love Will Smith, but lets face it. If he’s in it, he has to save the day at the end. I may have to skip this one if it’s too predictable. Yawn!
