Alright, who had Winnie the Pooh as the next live-action remake announced from Disney? That’s right, Deadline reports that Winnie the Pooh is now also on deck at the Mouse House to get a live-action update, coming on the heels of the previously released Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent, and Cinderella. Moreover, the studio has already hired a filmmaker to bring the project to fruition: Alex Ross Perry, who wrote and directed the obtuse Sundance indie Listen Up Philip with Jason Schwartzman and Elisabeth Moss.

The idea for this new Winnie the Pooh is to focus on Christopher Robin as an adult who is summoned back to Hundred Acre Wood to frolic with his animal pals: a honey-obsessed bear, a clinically depressed donkey, and a bumbling pig, among others.

This actually isn’t the first time Disney has hired a serious indie director to shape a new version of one of their classics. Ain’t Them Bodies Saints helmer David Lowery is currently in production on a Pete’s Dragon remake for an August 12, 2016 release. There are no details on how Perry plans to visualize the Winnie the Pooh characters, but one imagines a heavy mix of CG—not unlike Alice in Wonderland and Maleficent—is in the cards.

The news of the Winnie the Pooh remake comes on the heels of word that Disney is also developing a live-action Mulan adaptation. While they’re busy counting cash from their Marvel movies and anticipating huge bucks from Star Wars, Disney's focus is now apparently on mining its animated classics for live-action updates.
