It’s an X-Men reunion on the set of Wolverine 3, but it sure doesn’t look like a happy one. Some new set photos have landed for Hugh Jackman’s final outing as the clawed mutant, and they triple confirm that yes, Patrick Stewart’s Professor X is in the film. However, after getting a look at these photos, you may take back your desire to see him onscreen here, because the Professor looks to be in dire straights.

Word has been incredibly quiet with regards to this untitled Wolverine sequel. We don’t even know specifically when it takes place, nor have we gotten confirmation about what villain Boyd Holbrook is playing. Indeed, it sounds like they’re playing things very close to the vest for the movie—which is nice, for once, although you can’t exactly hide from fans snapping photos when you’re filming outside.

So what do these photos tell us about the film? For one, Jackman’s Wolverine has a beard again, but for another, the film looks to at least partly revolve around a sickly Professor X, who’s sporting some scruff of his own. Will we see the death of a major character with this particular movie? Is that how Jackman’s going to bow out of the role, by giving his life so that Stewart’s Professor X may live? Or is all this just wild speculation based on out of context photos from one scene of many in a film that will almost certainly involve reshoots? Your guess is as good as ours, but take a look below.

The Wolverine helmer James Mangold returns to direct Wolverine 3, which also stars Richard E. Grant, Stephen Merchant, and Eriq La Salle and opens in theaters on March 3, 2017.
