When the panels were announced for this year’s WonderCon, the 20th Century Fox presentation didn’t specify which films would be brought to the convention. At the time we speculated that Ridley Scott’s Prometheus would be featured, and earlier today we learned that Scott himself will be premiering the full trailer for the film on March 17th at Downtown Disney in Anaheim, not far from WonderCon. Now the convention has updated its info (thanks to reader Steve for the heads up) to confirm that Scott and screenwriter Damon Lindelof will be onhand to screen some exclusive footage. In addition, the panel will include a presentation for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter. The filmmakers will screen “special footage” from the historic vampire-slaying pic. The info given doesn’t specify what filmmakers will be present, but I wouldn’t be surprised if director Timur Bekmambetov showed up. Hit the jump to read the full synopsis for “20th Century Fox: Prometheus and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter…in 3D.” Be sure to check back here on March 17th for the new Prometheus trailer, and we’ll have a rundown from the WonderCon presentations as well. WonderCon 2012 runs from March 16 - March 18.noomi-rapace-prometheus-imageHere’s the updated info from WonderCon (big thanks to reader Steve who spotted the update). The 20th Century Fox presentation is slated for March 17th:

20th Century Fox: Prometheus and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter…in 3D— 20th Century Fox and WonderCon attendees have two big reasons to celebrate the year’s event. Sir Ridley Scott, director of Alien and Blade Runner, returns to the genre he helped define and he’ll be live on stage to tell you all about Prometheus, his epic and groundbreaking new mythology. Sir Ridley and co-screenwriter Damon Lindelof will screen some exclusive footage.

You’ll also meet this country’s 16th president and first superhero — Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which explores the secret life of our greatest leader, and the untold story that shaped our nation. The filmmakers will screen special footage, which presents the visionary work of producer Tim Burton and director Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted), who bring a fresh and visceral voice to the classic portrayal of the bloodthirsty vampire, while imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.
