New Trailer for WORLD WAR Z Starring Brad Pitt

     March 25, 2013

Paramount has released a new trailer for director Marc Forster’s (Quantum of Solace) zombie apocalypse film World War Z.  The film stars Brad Pitt as a United Nations employee who traverses the globe in a race to stop a growing Zombie pandemic that threatens to put an end to humanity.  This trailer does a better job at humanizing Pitt’s character as a family man as well as hinting at the plot arc he’ll have to follow.  While the CG still looks a bit suspect, the zombie hordes of World War Z have proven to be not only resilient but rather resourceful in getting around.

It might be cool, but if I didn’t know this was about zombies I’d have no idea they were even in the film. You never see one close up. Why aren’t they disguising it so much?

    • ken

the rumour is its going to be a PG-13 movie

  • Marty

There is no horror things, there is no close up and slow dirty evil zombies, no cool battles between mankind and dead people. Looks very boring. If only it could be like Children of Men meets Contagion with 28 Days Later

  • tosh

Yup still looks awful. zombies that just look like confused marathon runners.

  • Beatific

It’s like Michael Bay pretended to read the book and then made a movie.

    • zac

no its like marc forster pretended to read the book and then made the movie…bay would never settle for those piece of shit special and visual fx! also this will flop, if bay made it at least people would watch it, also i said people! as in everyday and not over pretentious nerds!

  • Matt

Glad it’s not just me – for all the buzz this has been getting for years now, this looks just terrible.

Movie Execs’: We got brad pitt, well this movie is gona sell, but just in case lets drop the rating down to a PG-13!
Max Brooks: but sir, its a story about the horrors of humanity & its evil underbelly (reflected through the use of zombies)…
Movie execs: we paid you for the book title! We want more bums in seats & that includes kids!

      Thats Hollywood !!

I love Zombie movies, always have, and I want this one to be good, but it just doesn’t look like it will be

  • tom

i’m still really surprised Brad Pitt is in this. i know he’s a producer on the film, but this just doesn’t look like something he would do. oh and i agree with everyone else about the CGI. they need to clean that up big time

  • ken

This is a completely different take on the book…..To give Max Brooks’ book justice it should have been a tv series…….period.

  • Sorry to say

The book just wasn’t that good. It was mediocre to alright. Some of the stories were abysmal. It was good if you’ve read three books in your entire life sure.

    • James

This is one of my favorite books, and I’ve read hundreds.

  • jay

did anybody else notice that its going to be in 3d now. did they already say that or was this the first mention of it?

  • Lob Taylor

I watched the Apple trailer HD copy of the trailer and its truly awesome! The CGI looks seamless and the dialogue and drama topnotch. This goes in my the category of splurge for 3D!

    • terry

I agree. From my standpoint, it all looks amazing and a lot of fun. Brad Pitt? $$$$$$$ All day baby. Even if he’s rather monatomic, the money on is one the screen.

    • Nate

who paid you to write this comment???

  • tarek

Shut up Kids. Brad Pitt is an awesome actor. As long as Angelina isn’t playing in the same movie.

  • tarek

Oh! I forgot to tell you: I hate zombies…

  • Anonymous

    I like it!

  • Nathan

Thank you Hollywood for ruining yet another fan-favourite piece of zombie fiction.

First, we got a movie adaptation of I Am Legend that bore little resemblance to the original book and removed the entire point of the story completely.

And now this, a movie adaptation that appears to share only its name in common with the source material.

Movie execs who produce these kinds of disrespectful adaptations don’t deserve to be making films at all.

    My 2 cents.
