Fox has released some key art for the return of The X-Files, and the signature flashlights are out in full force. The series comes back in January for six all-new episodes, which will be a mix of the procedural-type stories and bigger mythology arcs that permeated throughout the show’s nine-season run. Creator Chris Carter writes and directs three of said episodes, with series veterans Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan, and James Wong filling the roles for the other three.
David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprise their iconic roles in this “revival”, and this new key art definitely plays up the nostalgia of the original series. There’s not much more to it than that other than glimpses of two other rather recognizable characters, but it’s a nice tease for fans of the series regardless.
