There’s been talk of Bill Pullman’s return as President Thomas J. Whitmore in Independence Day 2 for a while, but now it’s finally official – although technically he can’t be president anymore, right? Regardless, not only did Roland Emmerich announce Pullman’s return, but he also revealed that Judd Hirsch will be back as well. Hirsch played David’s (Jeff Goldblum) father Julius Levinson in the original.

So now the list of returning cast members includes Pullman, Hirsch, Goldblum, Brent Spiner as Dr. Brackish Okun, the kooky scientist at Area 51, and Vivica A. Fox as Captain Steven Hiller’s (Will Smith) wife, Jasmine Dubrow. As for the newcomers, we’ve got Liam Hemsworth as President Whitmore’s son-in-law, Jessie Usher as Steven Hiller’s son (presumably an older Dylan Dubrow), Travis Tope as a character named Charlie, and Charlotte Gainsbourg and Joey King in unknown roles.

On top of that Independence Day 2 casting update, Bryan Singer also announced that Lucas Till will return as Alexander Summers, aka Havok, in X-Men: Apocalypse. Till didn’t really do much in X-Men: First Class or Days of Future Past, but hopefully that’ll change now that we’ve got his brother Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) in the mix.

In addition to Till, the film’s line-up of X-Men veterans includes Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, James McAvoy as Professor X, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert and Evan Peters as Quicksilver. Then we’ve got franchise newcomers Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, Sheridan as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Lana Condor as Jubilee, Ben Hardy as Angel and Olivia Munn as Psylocke.

You can check out all three casting announcements below. Independence Day 2 is due in theaters on June 24, 2016 and X-Men: Apocalypse arrives on May 27, 2016.
