Filmmaker Bryan Singer continues to tease fans with behind-the-scenes looks at the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse, and fresh off last week’s Instagram revealing that Josh Helman is back as William Stryker, today’s set photo reveals what’s quite possibly the aftermath of the titular Apocalypse’s tantrum. Singer is shown walking through rubble in a destroyed Cairo in the new Instagram, which he has hashtagged with the year 1983, telling us this is not part of a flashback involving Apocalypse’s origin—it’s happening in the film’s present.

X-Men: Apocalypse picks up 10 years after the events of X-Men: Days of Future Past and finds the mutants on the defensive as they square off against Oscar Isaac’s Apocalypse, who was quite possibly the first person to carry the mutant gene and who wields enormous power as a result. He’s assembled his Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, which includes Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), and Angel (Ben Hardy). Where does Cairo fit into this and how will the X-Men stand a chance at stopping them? And how does the post-Days of Future Past timeline affect these beloved characters? We’ll have to wait until next summer to find out.

The film also stars James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Rose Byrne, Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, Lucas Till, Lana Condor, and Kodi Smit-McPhee. X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
