We’re a little over a week away from the release of X-Men: Apocalypse, but we’re being offered yet another tease of the highly anticipated 80s-set X-Men sequel by way of some new images and EW’s latest covers. The trailers thus far have promised a positively epic follow-up to X-Men: Days of Future Past, and despite some not-so-glowing reviews, I remain curious to see how director Bryan Singer intends to introduce these younger versions of Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Nightcrawler and simultaneously address the further arcs of Charles, Erik, Raven, and Hank.

As you can see in these photos, the 80s aesthetic offers Singer a more colorful palette than Days of Future Past, and I quite like the makeup and look they settled on for Kodi Smit-McPhee’s Nightcrawler. But these images aren’t the only Apocalypse-related material to hit today: Fox also released a neat tie-in video that serves as a recruitment piece for Charles Xavier’s School for the Gifted. It’s fronted by Lana Candor’s Jubilee and made to look like it came straight from a VHS tape in your homeroom class.

Check out the video below, followed by the new images via EW and links to our recent coverage of the film. Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Oscar Isaac, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Rose Byrne, Josh Helman, Alexandra Shipp, Ben Hardy, and Olivia Munn also star. X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27th.
