Filmmaker Bryan Singer continues to tease the in-production X-Men: Apocalypse today with another set image, this time also hinting at a world-ending event. After unveiling a first look at oh-so-80s versions of Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) and Jubilee (Lana Condor) last week, today’s photo gives us a look at the parents of Cyclops and Havok. This isn’t necessarily a groundbreaking reveal, but it is interesting to note that the two mutant characters will interact in some significant way in the film. Lucas Till reprises his role as Havok, aka Alex Summers, while Mud actor Tye Sheridan is being introduced in this movie as the younger iteration of Scott Summers, aka Cyclops.
And of course there’s Singer’s caption that reveals Mr. and Mrs. Summers are watching “the end of the world as they know it” on their television in this set photo, so we can safely assume that Oscar Isaac is gonna cause some significant devastation as the villainous Apocalypse.
Check out the new X-Men: Apocalypse set photo below, via Singer’s Instagram. The film also stars returning cast members James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Rose Byrne, Lucas Till, and Nicholas Hoult plus newcomers Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Ben Hardy as Angel, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, and Olivia Munn as Psylocke. X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
