Things have never exactly been easy for the X-Men crew, but if the title didn't give it away, X-Men: Apocalypse promises to put the heroes through their greatest trial yet when they come face to face with the ancient and invincible Apocalypse (Oscar Issac) and finds them locked in all-out mutant warfare. 20th Century Fox has released a new Super Bowl spot that emphasizes their perilous predicament and offers up a first look at Olivia Munn's Psylocke in action. If Munn's training videos weren't enough to convince you, this should just about do the trick as she looks utterly badass.

James McAvoy returns as Professor X, alongside Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, and Lucas Till as Havok. Apocalypse will also introduce a new generation of mutants including Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Alexandra Shipp as Storm,Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Ben Hardy as Angel, and Lana Condor as Jubilee. The film arrives in theaters May 26, 2016. Check out the Super Bowl spot below.

Here’s the official synopsis for X-Men: Apocalypse:

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
