‘X-Men: Apocalypse’: Go Behind the Scenes of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine Rampage

     June 14, 2016

Spoilers abound if you haven’t seen X-Men: Apocalypse.

Though Bryan Singer’s X-Men: Apocalypse is still in theaters, lots of attention has turned to James Mangold’s new Untitled Wolverine Sequel. Part of that excitement is because star Hugh Jackman is expected to be strapping on the title character’s signature claws for the final time, but another part is due to a scene nestled inside the latest X-flick that features young man Logan going berserk on a bunch of soldiers.

The scene itself hasn’t officially made its way onto the internet, but a behind-the-scenes look has been released by Singer. It gives fans of the “Weapon X” version of Wolverine another chance to see the bizarro headgear as Wolverine takes his rage out on an out-classed security team. (Maybe the helmet was just too tight on Wolvie’s temples the whole time, which would understandably make anyone angry.)

Additionally, a recent rumor from XMenFilms.com claims to have a lock on the currently Untitled Wolverine Sequel‘s actual title, which would make sense considering the scene referenced above:

So, just to keep track, at the moment the new Wolverine film is expected to juggle fan-favorite comic book arcs “Weapon X,” “Old Man Logan,” and the cinematic introduction of X-23. A tall order, to be sure, but one that Mangold, Jackman and company are quite capable of pulling off, especially if this is the last go-round. Why, it could even serve to introduce a whole new franchise centered around X-23…
