On our recent "Most-Anticipated" article, X-Men: Days of Future Past landed on all three lists.  While I understand why some people are skeptical, I think all of the right elements are in place for a great superhero movie.  That's why I don't mind reporting on X-Men stories (even when it's those blasted trailer teasers).  Today, two new images from the movie along with a magazine cover have been released online.  The magazine cover (for Premiere) is kind of silly since it looks like Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) is about to stab young Xavier (James McAvoy) in the neck.  But it's not even half as silly as Quicksilver's (Evan Peters) costume.  I can't get over how awful that thing looks.

Hit the jump to check out the images.  X-Men: Days of Future Past also stars Michael Fassbender, Peter Dinklage, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Halle Berry, Lucas Till, Omar Sy, Adan Canto, Daniel Cudmore, and Bingbing FanX-Men: Days of Future Past opens in 2D and 3D on May 23rd.

Here’s the official synopsis for X-Men: Days of Future Past:

The beloved characters from the original “X-Men” film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from “X-Men: First Class,” in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.
